SINGAPORE, January 10, 2024 – Singapore-based fintech startup, Qashier, unveiled the QashierPay Soundbox, a revolutionary QR payment terminal designed to elevate the safety and security of digital payments while spearheading the digitisation of payments.

The QashierPay Soundbox, equipped with real-time auditory alert capabilities, ensures merchants receive an immediate notification upon the successful and accurate receipt of payment. The innovative plug-and-play terminal is poised to be the easiest way for businesses to accept QR payments with an ultra-low-cost device – a game-changer for merchants handling quick and high-flow transactions, such as hawkers and mini-marts.

Alongside the other key benefits of the new QashierPay Soundbox, both merchants and consumers can look forward to a better payment experience:

• Wide acceptance with a single device: Accepts a majority of the e-wallet QR payments including PayNow-enabled apps Google Pay, GrabPay, DBS Paylah, Singtel Dash and more.

• View transaction history in real-time: The cloud-based terminal syncs the transaction records to their personal merchant portal via QashierHQ, giving them real-time transaction records for easy sales reporting. 
• Next-day payout (T+1): Merchants receive payouts from their transactions the next business day, ensuring stronger cash flow for businesses.
• Highly portable: Designed for SMEs, the device is Wifi and SIM-enabled, allowing merchants the flexibility and portability of offsite usage such as pop-up events or bazaars. 
• Compact design: QashierPay Soundbox fits seamlessly on any checkout counter with its sleek and compact design.

They will also enjoy a waiver of transaction fees until the end of March 2024. In addition, every QashierPay Soundbox comes ready with a free SIM card as well as data usage for the device. Exclusive to the launch, these merchants can enjoy an additional S$100 cashback upon reaching S$10,000 in transactions. 

These incentives are part of Qashier’s SME Support Package (QSP) – an ongoing effort to drive digital payment solutions adoptions amongst small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Qashier launched QashierPay, its payment solution in 2022. Today, Qashier’s payment solutions are used by more than 2,000 merchant stores islandwide, supporting more than 200,000 transactions daily.

QashierPay Soundbox is available in Singapore and will be rolled out gradually across different markets including Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.
