What is MDR and how does it affect my business?
MDR stands for Merchant Discount Rate. It is the fee charged per transaction when a customer pays by card, e-wallet, or QR. You pay a small percentage of each sale to process the payment. The lower your MDR, the more of each sale you keep.
What are QashierPay's MDR rates?
In-store rates start from 0.50% for Visa and Mastercard, and 0.60% for DuitNow. Online rates start from 1.40% + RM0.65 for Visa and Mastercard, and 1.0% for DuitNow.
Which hardware do I need to start accepting payments?
That depends on how your customers pay. The QashierXS accepts contactless, QR, chip, and magstripe payments and works for both in-store and online. The QashierPay Soundbox is a scan-to-pay device that handles local e-wallets and cross-border QR payments, with voice confirmation on every transaction.
Are there any hidden fees?

Can I accept payments from overseas tourists?
Yes. The QashierPay Soundbox supports cross-border QR payments, so customers from overseas can pay using their home country e-wallets at an MDR starting from 0.8%.
