Not dangerous meh?&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My name is Samuel.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I&#8217;m the founder and CEO of Axe Factor.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We started using the POS system about\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">one and a half years back.<\/span><br \/><\/span><\/p>\r\n<h4><strong>Qashier came back to me with much enthusiasm.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>So that&#8217;s what I like to see in businesses\u00a0and so then I decided to go with them\u00a0instead of all the other competitors out there.<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<p><strong>&#8211; <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Samuel, Founder and CEO, Axe Factor<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I was on Instagram then I saw this actor, Jason Momoa.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He actually posted a video of axe throwing with alcohol,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">so he was drinking beer and throwing axes and I was like,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">this seems like a fun thing to do.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So I wanted to try it out,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and then I realised that there isn&#8217;t any axe throwing in Singapore.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So then I actually flew down to Australia two weeks later\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">just to try out axe throwing and I realised that it\u2019s actually quite a fun activity\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">so I decided to bring it back to Singapore and introduce this sport.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The main challenge would be the licensing.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s an axe throwing activity in Singapore.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Took us about four months of interviews with the Police Force and then,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">we had to give a presentation before they are willing to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">give us the license to run this place.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The second challenge that we had to overcome is\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to show people that it&#8217;s a very safe sport.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Even when you know\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">we have Shin Min Daily News, The Straits Times\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and everything reporting on this place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The comments section were filled with,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWait till somebody\u2019s hands drop off,\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWait till you chop somebody up,\u201d and things like that.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhy are you advocating violence?\u201d you know all these\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">online space is not a very nice place.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We made sure that our coaches actually coach you properly\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and if you are showing any signs of doing things really dangerously,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">we\u2019ll kick you out.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The vision that we have is to introduce this as a sport\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and we want to normalise this sport in Singapore\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">because essentially everybody is starting from even ground\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">so that\u2019s what we are trying to bring into Singapore right now.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It\u2019s to introduce the competitive element of axe throwing itself\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">so then maybe in a few years\u2019 time we would even have a team\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">of Team Singapore which we can send to the U.S. or Canada\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to compete with the people there.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My staff are the ones who are mainly using it, the POS system.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t even have to give them any training.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So when new people come in, within a day they\u2019ll figure out how to use.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So I got their feedback.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They say that it&#8217;s really intuitive, really easy to use.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They are able to put customers on tab.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some customers they will come in and start buying quite a few things\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and it\u2019s very hard for us to keep track with our old system.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So with this, you can keep track of everything in the system\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and when you are leaving, we\u2019ll know that this is an open tab\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">so these are what the customers are paying for and everything.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And when another shift of our staff comes into the range and start work\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">then we don&#8217;t have any sort of handover, it\u2019s just like\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">they&#8217;ll look at the system and they\u2019ll know what\u2019s going on.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s really
